Default di you guys thinkn this is worth what they askin for?

Hey guys im in the market for a Subaru and i came across this one. It looks good and has a clean carfax record. But seeing you guys know whats goin on with subarus i was wondering if this one is worth what the dealership is asking for. they are askin 25,210 rollout price. the bank will only lend me 23,500. Oh and also I saw somewhere that aftermarket parts can deppreciate the value of a car? True? idk but i would like for your guys and gals opinions on this car and if its worth it!

Looks like an 06 STI, with a decent amount of mods. FMIC, turbo inlet (possible bigger turbo?), intake, wheels, lowered (looks like Tein coils with EDFC), from what I can see, TBE...

I'd say request a compression test from the dealer. Then you need to find out if there's some kind of EM on the car or if it's on the stock map. My guess would be stock map and the previous owner sold AP or something.

How many miles on it?

Sorry about my terrible spelling guys. But right now I checked what you all said and as soon as I get off of work I'll let you know what all the dealer has spotted on aftermarket parts. But I do know that it has 24500 miles on it.

i wouldnt take what the dealer says as the truth. Id take it to an independent shop and have a compression test and have them tell you how the car looks

As said above, ask questions about it, get a compression/leakdown test done.

The mods do depreciate the value somewhat, because you never know if they were installed properly or not, and, it raises questions as to whether the car was beat on.

It's an STi with what looks like a turbo upgrade, ofcourse it was driven hard.

Those mods are high quality a la APS so the previous owner had money and looked like he knew what he was doing. I'd still get a leakdown and compression test done.

Ok i lied lol sorry. It has 27,500 miles. Heres a list of what the dealer knows is on it-Workemotion 18"rims on 235/40/zr18's, RPM lower suspension brace, Cusco strut brace, Cusco catch can, stainless steel exhaust, APS muffler, APS intake tubes/front mount, APS blow off valve and waste gate (im not sure if you can have both a blow off valve and a wastegate but i really dont know), Defi gauges, TEIN EDFC, Carbon fiber hood, aluminum radiator. For your viewing pleasures heres some more pics!

Thats not making feel better! lol. All in all im just trying to figure out if this is worth buying. Im gonna talk to the dealer and have him run a leakdown and compression test on it. If he really wants to sell it he will do this. If everything comes back good, I guess its worth it! If not I found another STi with a stage 2 turbo kit in Arizona for sale =) haha we'll see!
