IWSTI Addict since: May 2009 | Post pics of your Turbo heat shield that is over a aftermarket downpipe, I want to get an idea if i should trim my stock shield or buy a Cusco, cobb, or SPT. Give me some ideas! thanks! |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 | How to: Cut you stock turbo heat shield to fit bell mouth DP You can also use the cusco or spt heat shield in addition to the cut stock heat shield (they work together) OR any of the heatshields you mentioned can be used by themselves. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | I use to use the trimmed OEM heatshield with the SPT heatshield. This helped hide some of the downpipe and provides added heatshielding from the hot downpipe. I had to remove the SPT heatshield because the APS TMIC uses a different TMIC bracket that will not fit the SPT heatshield. As for removing the downpipe to reinstall the OEM heatshield, it is unnecessary but you will have to remove the top two bolts to install the heatshield bracket. |
