***UPDATE***
After visiting The Brakeman's booth at SEMA, we had a chance to talk about the rotors. He informed us that the rotors and hats should be delivered to him in about 2 weeks and that they should be ready to ship in 3 weeks.

Warren, the owner, and I agreed that the group buy pricing should come to an end in the next few days, but we wanted to leave it open for those that are still trying to accummulate the funds to purchase this high quality brake setup.

The final group buy price is $1199 before shipping even though we had less than the minimum number of deposits we needed to give to The Brakeman to obtain the better pricing. I am going to ask Warren about shipping costs and obtain more information on the brake pad options and pricing on Monday. I would imagine shipping will not be over $50 in the lower 48 states.

For those that have not provided us a deposit on the brakes, but would still like to purchase them, you may purchase them at the final group buy price for a short period of time using this link:

For those that have already provided us a deposit in the amount of $500, we invite you to submit your final deposit in the amount of $699 using this link:

http://www.kingofimports.com/product...idproduct=1727

If you supplied us with a deposit in the form of a money order, please email me us info@kingofimports.com so we can arrange final payment. Our website shows the following people have submitted deposits over our website. If you think you should be on this list and are not, please send email us at info@kingofimports.com.

1. Pogue
2. Zelazo
3. McGrath
4. Webber
5. Hoffman
6. Mannina
7. Lynch
8. Robinson
9. West
10. Bello (please contact me regarding your rotors)

Kevin-
I'm curious, is it possible to just get the hats? The biggest problem with going to 2 piece is the custom hats. can we/I just get the hats and source the rotors myself?

Sometimes knowing who you know and living where you live are beneficial. I have had the lucky opportunity to witness the developement of the rotors and pads through the past few months. From the absolute begining I was interested in reducing weight and improving the braking performance of my STi. After having the chance to ride in Kevin's STi and drive Ben's STi on the road and track, I knew I had to have the Brakeman equipment on my car.

Today I was able to visit the Brakeman facility and have my rotors and pads installed on my STi.

Above are some pictures of "Bob" from the Brakeman installing my rotors and pads. Unfortunately I have not had the time to "break" in my pads yet. I should have a little more time to accomplish this task tomorrow. I can tell you that the car handles much better and the turn in response is drastically improved. Oh, and it accelerates quicker too, Seriously!

This was only possible through Kevin and Ben, of course the visit to the SEMA show and harrassing the President at Brakeman did help. LOL!!

^^^^

Yes, I went with their full race pad #3. I my opinion they work awesome on the street and perfect at the track. I still don't understand why the Brakeman does not suggest them for the street?

***After a little more browsing on the site, I'm going to go out for another drive. ****

Nice! I sent in my second payment last night. Hopefully I can join the club real soon.

I haven't heard anything about buying the pads yet. Is that going to be seperate from this buy?

I give the rotors and pads " "

I just got back from a "spirited" canyon run in the local mountains. These brakes work awesome! The response from the brakes is very good. The moment you press the brake pedal, the car instantly starts to decelerate no matter how many times you previously had used them. I will tell you that Kevin's and Ben's STi's stopped better than my car does now. Why? I am running used up, hard RE070's and my lockup point comes very quickly. At least I do know now that my STi is capable of locking up the tires.

Now for the real reason I purchased these pads and rotors. The weight reduction, acceleration and handling. The handling is just plain better and more responsive. Words to describe; Responsive, responsive, responsive. The steering is incredibly quick and initial turn in is lighting fast, almost too fast (I will have to get used to it). The steering feels much lighter than before and easier to modulate and control. The Corner exit acceleration is improved. The overall acceleration from a standstill is noticable. However, it is not a HUGE difference, but noticably better.

The feeling was giving me more confidence and I was traveling way too fast in the canyons (a public road). I had to demonstrate much needed self-control before I got others and/or myself into trouble. I look forward to the track events I have scheduled to really check out this setup!

Please gentlemen, let's get these front rotors and pads purchased and installed. Then let's force the Brakeman to manufacture the rears. Yesterday I was trying to pursuade them as much as possible. I told them that WE the STi enthusiasts NEED them! I will be giving my STi up as the test mule for the rear setup in the near future.

Opinions, Brakeman has the weird "flower" looking rotor. They are thinking of using this strange looking rotor for the rear of our STi's. They are lighter than any rotor on the market and will deliver enough braking in the rear for the STi for track duty. What do you think?

They can count on me for a set of rears for sure, flower or otherwise.
