IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 | I am curently running EBC yellows all around during sumer time. As much as I love how it performs, since I live up north, I though it would a better idea to run a set of slightly more streetable pads than a semi-track pads that does not have very good initial bites. Definitely looking for something that performs better than oem, performs great when cold. Safety. Long lasting pads and rotors friendly are preferred. Dusts and noises are not a problem since the salt/ black ice we have is 1000000 times worse then a lil dusts. And noise is just not an issue for me. Did a lil research before, and came up with the following pads for daily driving: 1. Axxis Ultimate 2. Hawk HPS 3. Carbotech Bobcats 4. Axxis Deluxe??? Let me know whats the best pads for my application! Thanks! |

For your application, and since you're already an EBC user, you might actually want to go with the Greenstuff pads for winter. They've got tons of bite for such a modest compound, last forever, do not dust even close to as much as what you have now, and the initial bite is great from cold. Plus, they're cheap, and easy on rotors. I'm a big fan of EBC brake pads, and have run just about all of them .. green, red, yellow, and blue. With the exception of the bluestuff, I've loved all of them. Just my $0.02 | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 | I've had the stockers, Hawk HPS, and Project Mu B-force on my car before..... I'll be buying the Project Mu's again because I think they were the best. I have used both my STi as a DD and I'll be getting slotted rotors and project Mu's when the time comes. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 | Porterfield R4S pads are great as well. I currently run Hawk HPS' in front and Porterfields in the rear on the street and for autocross. Also, same pads I use for the winter. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 | I liked Carbotech products but the set of Bobcats I got suck horribly as compared to the stock Brembo pads. I can barely lock up after a while of street driving and have to brake them in every couple of weeks. They also CLUNK like hell due to their poor stamping tolerances. It is starting to annoy me so bad that I feel like getting my baseball bat out and act a fool on those brembo's man. My next pad will defenately be the Pagid's since Brembo uses those guys as their pad supplier as well on their high end caliper applications. |
