Default Video: GRID Press Day

Thought I would share this with you guys - there was a Press Day for GRID at Irwindale Speedway, and looks like it became more of a drift session. In any case, you'll get to see import model Lisa Fleming out there on the track trying to learn how to drift, so it's definitely worth checking out.

Is it more of an arcade racer(Need for Speed) or sim.(Forza2)?

sim's just get boring to me. if i wanted to spend 20 hours just to get a ****ing half assed miata i would go buy one... instead of wasting my time trying to make a fast car in grid.. i start with one.

It's definitely more like DiRT than any other game. I have it, and the only thing that bothers be the most is the unrealistic braking that you can pull off. I can brake in an LMP1 prototype car from 260 mph to 0 in like 200 ft. I don't think that's realistic... but I can't complain. I do get to sick in a ****pit view of some of the sickest cars ever.

Also, you own your own race team, have to hire drivers, and earn sponsorships from real life companies. It is a very fun racing experience.

I love the game. Drifting, Circuit Racing, Le Mans (LMP1, LMP2, GT1, GT2), Demolition Derbies... and NIGHT RACING! This game is very good in my opinion. If you liked DiRT, you'll enjoy this. If you didn't, I'd stear clear. However, I highly recommend it.

Dirt was alright...for a while. Is the STI in this game (that's usually a big factor for me when buying car video games ). The games sounds a lot like Need for Speed: Carbon Black. Can the cars be modded at all?

I'm tempted to buy is as well. I have a bunch of old xbox and 360 games I dont play anymore, I might trade those in to get this game.

Plus isnt this game created by the same people that created DiRT?

I took the plunge and bought the game this weekend. It's pretty fun. The Suby exhaust note is accurate too. I'm still in the early stages of the game. So-far, so-good.

The game is pretty damn fun. I love Forza and GT4 but sometimes it gets old starting out racing the VW Bug. The only thing i'm not a fan of is there are no customization types of things.
