IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 | Went for a Test and Tune today in preperation for the Import vs. Domestic event next weekend at Maryland International Raceway.. My first run was a 12.3 and my second run (last and best) was the 12.22. Felt awesome, but i think there's a little more left in it. We'll see next sunday! Specs: -Full weight 2007 STi + 200lb. driver. -1/2 tank of fuel. -Injen 65mm CAI. -3" ebay TBE. -Walbro Fuel Pump. -EBCS/MBC Hybrid Setup. -102 octane. -OS tuned by me.. -That's all! Whoever thinks 11's aren't possible with the stock turbo is on some good drugs. I'll get there next year, maybe sunday!! Haha.. since all tracks in my area will be closed after next weekend, i'll be forced to wait. Special thanks to Tgui and LittleBlueGT for help and suggestions. And of course, the timeslip (Mazdaspeed6 in the other lane.): |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 | Good work sir. What mods did the MS6 have? That is a pretty good time for one of them. Temp? Elevation? 112 is absolutely moving for a stock turbo. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 | If I had a clutch to hold the torque and move me down the track, rather the slipping most of the 60ft I'd do alot better. Not sure what the Speed6 had, though he came over and asked about mine, lol. I was just like "Intake and Exhaust", haha.Temp. was about 56-58 degrees, very windy. Elevation is 80 feet. |

That's the VF39 record right? What about the VF43? Also, this is with just a CAI and exhaust.. No header, EWG, injectors, clutch, weight reduction, etc. And the car was tuned by myself on the road, not by an experienced tuner with a dyno and whatnot. I'm pretty sure that I can say I have a record of the fastest self-tuned VF43 with minimal bolt-ons. Last edited by Shamoo; 11-02-2008 at 07:23 PM..

-AVCS (but for most smaller turbos at higher rpm it is at 0) -AFR -timing There is nothing else to change! The only thing a "pro" tuner has on you is he is faster at making changes, and has more experience. You are quite capable of tuning a car better then a pro-tuner Guaranteed! It may take you months to get it perfect, vs 4 hours to get it pretty good.
