Default disappointing stage 2 05 sti times

ran 13.6 at 100.99 =*( 60 ft was 1.87...which is my best 60 to date, im still getting used to drag btw. mods are

hks carbon ti catback
helix catted dp
cobb ap v2 with stage 2 OTS map with lc and ffs
injen fmic
injen cai
hks bov
ngk spark plugs

i was hoping for at least low 13s, high 12s at best, car is a 2005 sti, this was on bbs with kuhmo ultra hi perf all seasons, track temps were in the 80s, lc was set to 4600, ffs was at 5600. i hit all the gears, shifted smoothly, but i did read in a few threads that ppl were losing boost due to ffs, im thinking thats what happened since the times were just that slow plus i did notice the pulls were as strong as non ffs pulls. and to make it seem worse i took out all extra weights and this was on a 1/4 tank of 93 oct. anyone care to elaborate.
- plus i am working on getting it protuned

very easy.

get rid of the bov and the intake.

get tuned atleast if you want to keep the intake. injen intakes are known to not be good w/o tuning.

I am a little confused on why you went with the FMIC with a stock turbo? Also a BOV is not really needed with your setup. Also any uprgrade on your suby deserves a protune or you are not seeing the true potential on the money you spent. Just my $.02

Ditto that. The stock turbo doesn't have the oomph to efficiently pressurize all that volume. That (and the BOV) is where your boost drop is.

An aftermarket dp and cbe are the only parts designed to work with a OTS cobb stage 2 map. You will need a custom protune to reap the benefits of the FMIC and the intake (these parts could possibly make your car slower on the cobb OTS map versus if you had a stock TMIC and intake). I would re-install the stock BPV for now. You should talk to your tuner about using the BOV. I've also read that people are having issues with the OTS lc and ffs maps (could possible make the car slower than a OTS map without ffs/lc) such as the ecu pulling timing, keep in mind that I have no firsthand exerience with this - pure speculation.

ditch that bov asap. i believe the injen fmic is a small core for only up to 350hp so it's ok to keep for now. Definitely get a protune to get all the benefits of your mods and watch those times go down without any problems besides operator errors.

People should not be so quick to simply blame the BOV...

Its a known fact that most cars using Cobbs mapping with FFS and LC enabled have SERIOUS issues in the neighborhood of knock correction which pulls tons of timing and loses alot of power...which would make way more sense as to why this guys car is running a full second slower than average cars with his modifications.

So to the OP, go back to the track with just the standard stage 2 mapping flashed on your ECU and give it another go.

OH NOES BOVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
