i have a 05 sti with 390 HP 422Tq to the wheels and i'm looking to drag race it and wondering if i would have to worry about anything breaking with this type of power. And what would you guys recomend launching at

If you have a car with that kind of power, you should probably know...

Launch like 1000-1500 over the top peak of the powerband. Probably somewhere like 5000-5500 for you.

Depending on the tires you might be looking at new axles EVENTUALLY, and if you're on the stock clutch I'd start looking at a new one real soon.

yeah see i just got into subaru's i used to race a 2004 Cobra and a 1968 Camaro with a 540 in it but there real wheel drive and i wasn't completely sure with the allwheel drive factor

YES! You definitely should worry about something breaking when drag racing a car with nearly double it's original awhp/awtq numbers. I would worry about things breaking on a stock STI.
