Default slow 1/4 mile stg 2

so i ran for the first time ever tonight and lets just say things didn't go well. i'm stg 2 and the temp was about 80 ambient and humid but i ran a 13.8@99.5 with a 1.9 60ft. am i just that bad of a driver, does the weather have that huge an effect or is there something wrong? or maybe all 3?? i talked to some of the other guys at the track and they were running 0.1 to 0.3 seconds slower and the only real advice they had was maybe my spark plugs are going (original plugs @55k mile) so i orderd new ngk 1 step colder plugs but i mean if thats what is wrong is that really gonna drop me a full second in the 1/4mi??

Mods? Protuned or OTC Cobb stage 2 flash?

55k on the original plugs? You have to be kidding me. What kind of gas mileage do you get?

Get a major service done on your vehicle at the stealership and a protune if you don't have one. Then run your car.

where are you at? yeah spark plugs may help. i have a tbe shirt ram intake stg2 flash and ran a 13.2 at 104 with a 1.8 60ft. but it was also 68 out. defiantly work on your 60 foot. and whats your lc set at? whats your 330ft time? i know i was losing time on my throw from 2-3. i should have been close to 13.1 with my runs.

yeah, i'm a little about sea level here in central texas but not much. at what rpms do you shift at? it looks like it could be your shifting 2 early and maybe not quite fast enough and getting turbo lag.

i was hitting like 86 in the 1/8. best thing tho, change your spark plugs see if it helps any. watch your shifts, try to make them quicker. thats all i can think of.

Use a non LC stage 2 map. The LC enabled map pulls timing becuase you are running lean at fuel cut from LC. Lots of info on this on the ECU tuning threads. Guys are running faster w/o LC enabled.

temp has a huge play on this. especially if your IC had any type of heat soak, that combined with unexperienced driving equals bad times.

i pulled one of my spark plugs last night and found out that they are ngk one step colder so they are not the origional but they did look about as dirty as ther silver bbs wheels do after about 2 weeks of not being cleaned, either way new ones are on the way and hopefully here by sunday for the next test and tune. i also reflashed my AP and the car seems to pull alittle harder but ill post up if i make it to the track on sunday
