Default 13.016 @ 105.21 EWG/Meth

Temp: 69 degrees. Abs. Barometer: 29.59

R/T........ .398
60'........ 1.794
330....... 5.315
1/8........ 8.261
MPH...... 84.56
1000..... 10.856
1/4........ 13.016
MPH....... 105.21

Not as fast as I would have liked... I had just ran before that and was probably heatsoaked. The run before was a 13.4 at 92... lol. My sweaty ass hands slipped off so 5th stayed in neutral. I babied the 5th shift on the 13.0 run so it would go in.. so I probably left some time on the table there. I probably left a tenth or two on the shifts and a tenth or two on the launch.

Pissed I only got 2 runs in though. Some kid in a civic blew up on the launch, and made it the rest of the way down the track dripping fluids.

Mods on the car: Cobb TBE (3" section removed) Vibrant headers, PT/Tial 44mm EWG, Aquamist HFS5 meth running 70/30 meth/water, Walbro 255, TXS mbc. After the tune I dynoed at 320/390... their dyno runs 215 WHP stock.

I would have thought that at least your trap speed would have been much higher considering your mods.

with the amount of power you are making, you should def be running faster...

i ran 13.1@105 at cecil county with a 1.9 60' (stage 2)

But with stage 2 setup are we not in the 12's. With a good decent driver who knows what they are doing.

With those mods and a decent driver mid 12s should be attainable. With a 105 trap speed you should crack 12s as well. Maybe try to get that 60' down and shift faster (I know you said you babied it).

With all of those mods, and the power he's making, you should be trapping higher than that.

I've seen a lot of stage 2 (just TBE and tune) running into the 12's with that kind of trap speed.

Who knows. My 13.4 run at 92 was about 2 mph ahead in the 1/8 mile before I missed 5th.

I think heatsoak played a big part in this.

This was my first time at the track in this car though... driver mod ftl.

Everyone starts there at first, it's no big deal.
For your first time at the track, I don't it's that bad of a time.

slow shifting kills et and mph on a sti. Not worth going to the track if your going to baby shifts.

What rpm are you shifting at?

Are you shifting with a "Z" patern from 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th.

Cause if you are you need to shift with a diagonal line in one straight motion.(no zig)

Can you explain this please? Can't you only shift into the gears one way?

About as close to a straight diagonal line as I can go from 2nd to 3rd. 4th to 5th I did more of a 'Z'... the synchros are pretty toasted in 5th gear.

By slow shifting I mean I wasn't powershifting, but still shifting decently fast. I shifted at 7000 in first and 6500 in 2 3 and 4. I was thinking that I would stay in my powerband better, but if I had brought it out to redline it would have probably ended up better. I think I have another 5/10ths I could get out of it by shifting at redline and icing the IC and intake pipes.

JASV- I saw your videos on youtube and was stoked I was going to run a 12.1 at 110+... I guess not. I still feel like I could eventually get there, or atleast to a 12.5 at 109/110.
