Nice work, seems like I would have expected a better ET w/ that kind of 60ft and trap speed. Did you mis-shift or something?

I had a 1.811 and ran a 12.9 at 107, stock re070's with little to no tread left. 2007 sti stage 2 mods, ots stage 2 APv2 map (my tuned map was lost when i disconnected my AP).

Ouch, that sucks. Did you have the map on your computer? Have you tried calling your tuner, maybe he saved it.

I promised my wife that I wouldn’t spend any money on my car this last year, so I’ve been cutting consistent low to mid 1.7s with my Hankook Icebears (snow/ice tires). My lowest was a 1.72 launching at 5k rpm with 28 psi in my tires. If memory serves me correct, I spun like crazy out of the hole that night; guess I need to get some real tires.

Anti-lag FTW!! Go WOT, watch the boost gauge climb to 15psi, let the clutch out quickly and high 1.5's to low 1.6's all day spinning the tires.

Basically you need to launch it like you dont care if you break it. But yet not overly agressive to cause too much wheel spin.

And a well glued track helps alot.

This is a kinda related question so here goes. I hardly ever launch my car but i went to do it the other night. Revved up rerevving it to get the turbo to spool but on the factory boost gauge it showed it only going up to 0 atmospheres from the idle at -.5 atmospheres. Tried it 3-4 times and got the same response everytime. Is that normal? am i doing it wrong or what? Thanks for any help.

Thats too bad, because a launch like that should yield a 13.0 maybe a 12.9 with a stock STi if you hit your shift points.

I have a stock 2004 PS STi and my best 60ft was on worn down stock Potenza RE070's. I ended up at 1.63 in the 60. Amazingly...that was the first time I'd ever raced my car at a strip and the 4th time to ever launch it. A friend of mine told me to launch at 6k (since I had never launched on a track, just street which I launched at around 3.5k). Track wasn't even a really sticky track - Fayetteville Motor Sports park in NC
