What a great idea for the High Pressure Air Can! I have one for my computer and it removes dust so easly! I bet if you use that Air Can you could clean out your TMIC pretty good.
What is Green? I've never heard of it before. Also, should you cover your intake and maybe your TMIC?(if your not washing that) I think if you want to be safe, just get a bucket of water and some rags and go through your engine bay and scrub i guess.

No, no damage at all. It happened so fast that I didn't even realize I hit the bird until I got home and saw blood on top of the hood scoop. So I opened the hood and saw the bird laying dead on the intercooler. I actually felt terrible about it although there was nothing I could have done to avoid it, except decide not to drive home from work I suppose. Poor little fella .

That happened to me today. I am going outside to clean it right now, just wanted to check what product cleans the intercooler nicely. Thanks guys.

Damn that sucks for you guys. All I got in my TMIC was a winning scratch off ticket

I plan on picking up a used TurboXS TMIC this week and this thread is exactly what i was looking for.

My God, right after I read this thread I went to drive somewhere and a bird swooped down and almost sucked him in.

Readers watch out for birds after reading this thread, ur intercooler is in danger.

to finish you can spray a bit of tire shine (not cleaner/shine, just shine) on a rag and wipe the engine down, it looks brand new after.

I dont' think my car has managed to suck anything in...ever. I would have thought the 04 and 05 would have bigger issues with this seeing as how their scoops are bigger.

I actually killed a bird on the way home from buying my car. I thought I had hit it but didn't feel it thud or hear it so I figured no big deal. A couple hours later I'm admiring my beautiful new car as I fill up with gas and I peer into my new monster hoodscoop...and there's a dead bird on the intercooler covering up my sweet STI lettering. So I pulled it out, pissed that I had feathers all over and had to take just laugh. Didn't do any damage, just killed the poor bird. I was travelling with somebody and I just said, "What are the odds of that?" Apparently pretty good, haha.

If you just want to touch it up, I'd recommend Never Dull (I think eagle bought them out and it may be a new name now).

to clean the fins i use a nylon brush and some p21s TAW... and water...

for the other parts i just wipe it down. no need to polish it if it stays clean.
