Talking Edit : a new 05 STi owner !

Hello everyone

As the title of the topic implies , I'll be a STi owner soon , just got to get rid of my current car . I've been a owner of a previous generation Imprezza , the 99 GT 2.0 Turbo , modded and tuned .

I test drove the car i'm about to buy , which belongs to a good friend of mine , and I totally fell in love with it : smoothness of the transmission , the low end torque , the handling ( Zeal coil overs help a lot in here ) and the flat four's sound ... I had those anime's stary eyes after that ride and asked " Where do I sign ? " Another thing , the car has about 2k miles on it , and the price is 2/3 of the retail price , plus it got some mods , but I need the whole list ( headers , suspension , lower and upper strut bars , back and front , carbon hood , 18" wheels ) , in two words : a good bargain .

I really can't wait to buy it , but I need to sell that damn BMW first , too mild for my taste I'll keep you post and I hope to get it within this month or the next .

I found a lot of great infos on this forum , really great work and much more social than nasioc

Take care everyone !

PS : here a shot of my previous imprezza , not commercialized in US if I recall correctly

I know but that car cames without A/C , bought it from a friend and wanted to turn it into a rally car , but got a lack of funds And here A/C is a must , really hot weather , and lot of rain during the monsoon season . I even had installed that roof scoop , but that wasn't really enough .

And yes , it broke my heart to sell it

Thank you for the comments

Wow, nice old ride. Went to Tahiti on my honeymoon...and I concur, A/C would be a must. Good luck on the Sti .

Giggles giggles

Just got my STi , not feeling the 18" SSR D5r wheels though ( already on sale and Racing Hart CP-035 on order next week ) . The engine need a clean up and the exterior a good detailing .

The BOV is a GFB , but I intend to put back the stock one , hope it will hold the 20 psi boost . Exhaust is a 3" turbo back HKS with a carbon muffler , exhaust manifold is aftermarket but I don't which brand ( waiting on my friend to send me the whole list ) . The Ecu was reflashed by ecutek , but intend to reverse it to stock and get the Cobb AP with stage 2 .

Excuse me , but I have a car to drive , see you later
