1. blowthru mafs are supposed to give you better spool, as you can run a larger intake with no reducers for the mafs. also, they allow you to run an open atmosphere bov 2. see 1. 3. none (afaik). you simply move the factory mafs to the cold pipe of the intercooler 4. dunno. search on map systems. there should be a way to incorporate a map system on our cars. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | From what I read you definitely need EM before you get a TBE but what if you only want a CBE....do you have to have EM? I eventually want to get to stage 2/ProTune but right now I just want to hear that lovely boxer rumble. Is it ok to go this route safely? CBE>EM>DP>ProTune? Thanks in advance -alex |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 1969 | You'd be fine with the bigger TMIC and just an AP, but I wouldn't change the turbo and drive on it without a tune. I'm sure you *could* get away with it, but I wouldn't recommend it. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | I'm new here! I wanted to know if anybody has any suggestions for a cheap car cover for my 2006 STI? I don't want to spend more than like $75. I just want something that will protect the paint from dust and dirt and that can breath. I have my car stored in a garage. I always seem to find only regular WRX car covers but won't fit the spoiler on the STI. Please help me! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2007 | Alright.. so i dont know how or where to post this.. but im lost..lol heres the skinny.. o5 sti.. and im trying to surprise my hubby with a turbo timer.. she (scooby) already has a greddy boost control... but im thinking of getting him the dual blitz.. as its all in one... Are there any preferences?? theres more then enough gauges in this car, i dont even know were id mount another.. and if i did get the blitze for him, then maybe id get the left over parts...grin.. (the greddy boost gauge) iv heard some problems as bypassing the alarm with the blitz.. but wouldnt this be true with all of them.. and a new alarm which i will be giving him too, can ofcourse be wired around it?.. dunno.. maybe i should just get a gift certificate to subaru... but that kinda takes the fun out of it!! either way, i have a short amount of time, and a car that needs a timer regardless... so take a vote.. greddy or blitz dual all in one?? |

| Immoderate Feedback Score: 8 reviews | Are you talking about a stock turbo? If so the car does not need a turbo timer. There is a cute little water tank above the turbo; when the car is shut off, water circulates through the turbo to/from that tank via convective currents. Smart folks, those Subaru engineers. |
