IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 | Hi me again lol, I have another question, im thinking of doing some weight reduction by taking off regular exterrior and putting on some carbon fiber exterrior BUT my problem is that I cant stand the color of carbon fiber it, drives me crazy! it gives the car the look like the painting hasnt been finished ,at least thats my oppion so my question is, can i paint carbon fiber? here is the site to where i found the carbon fiber kits. http://www.body-kit.com/sub_07_wrcspec.html my other problem is that i dont want everything in that body kit its all sold togethere the only thing i want is the hood, front and rear bumper.Im pretty sure its expansive since its all together I'v been looking around for ever and this is the only thing i could come across nothing is seperet these days , everything is sold together to rip the buyer off lol, I am trying to go for the rally look >< im pretty sure every one will think that im a ricer LOL but its my long life dream. Also if any one finds these carbon fiber parts sold seperatly plz tell me cuz i dont want to have to buy this whole package -_-" it will make me go bankrupt LOL |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 | Iīve searched and didnīt found the answer: which bigger aftermarket turbo would fit 1:1 to the OEM-Turbo (do you call this "bolt-on"?)? - Car is a EDM STI MY06 (my stock turbo is the same as in the USDM MY07) - my header and uppipe are GT-SpecII - my TBE is unknown to the US-market, itīs a full 3" (downpipe etc, catted), only 60 of them were "handmade" from kakumei/cheetah I want to keep the stock TMIC (maybe in the future change to a bigger TMIC, but will never change to FMIC due to regulations in germany), and, if possible, the stock heatshield and my aftermarket heatshield from SPT. I donīt want to change too much. And yes, I know that I need a tune after the change. Now I have something you would call a stage 2; ecutek, 3" TBE, Header, walbro 255, but still OEM-Intake (german regulation...) Thank you for your answers! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2005 | ^^ You are going to want to probably run a FP Green or Deadbolt 20G if you are wanting to keep your stock TMIC. Anything bigger than that I am sure would warrant a much bigger intercooler, i.e. FMIC. Also, since you are wanting to run a bigger turbo on the stock intercooler I would also suggest thinking about running meth injection. Not only is this a great power adder but it is also great at lowering intake charge temps. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 | Thanks for the answer, but to buy meth in germany isn´t that simple; because of it´s poisonous it´s not available for the public... I resume: - stock TMIC first choice FP green and/or Deadbolt 20G (I´ve read a little, the FP green seems to be more recommended than the deadbolt). These two turbos would fit 1:1, nothing else has to be changed - a bigger TMIC would other turbos recommend? Better: bigger turbo needs a bigger TMIC? I´ve read on "the other side" this one about TMIC http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=529972 (btw, I think unabomber does a great job, but the forum over there still *****) and the next problem occurs; whick TMIC to buy? The burmese sodacan or pay triple for the name...I know, you still get what you pay for, but I´m not Bill Gates, only step after step. Thanks again for your patience (and excuse me for my english...) |

You can probably find a really good name brand one used if you want to split the difference and save a little money. SVT Amateur and the rest of the power mod pros may disagree. | |
