will the 04 sti TMIC shroud fit on the wrx hood scoop, not talking about the splitter just the rubber shroud

While degreasing my engine should I avoid wetting the stock top mount or is that okay?

Wetting it with what? You have an intercooler sprayer that coats it with water (or whatever you have in your I/C sprayer tank) and God knows what comes through the hood scoop onto it sometimes.

I think you'll be fine, as long as whatever you're spraying on it doesn't eat aluminum.

Check the instructions/warnings on the product, I guess. You might post in the Peleg's Guide to Detailing thread. I think it's been covered there. Search the Exterior/Styling forum for it. Peleg knows his stuff.

ok quick question. i like the 04 sti hood scoop better than my 07. if i buy a 04 carbon fiber hood will it fit in the 07 with ezz or will it be a pain in the *** to do that?

To my knowledge, hoods are not interchangeable between 04-05 body styles and 06-07 body styles. An 04 would fit an 05 and vice versa. An 06 would fit an 07 and vice versa.

I'm not even sure the hood scoops are interchangeable. These are the search results I received from searching the Exterior Styling Forum for "hood scoop swap." Some of the threads are obviously off your topic, but others may help:

so i was wondering is the Cobb tuning the best way to go on a 07 sti? Or is there a better tuning for that car?
