I have been a member for a while ,but when I was originally considering the sti I test drove the gto and had to have it! To make a long story short I had a 01 wrangler sport for dd/winter whore and with a 7 mo old son it became a pita to get him in and out. I found a nice 04 sti w 16kmi that will not only be my dd, but also my new found hobby road racing (media.putfile.com/gtowatkins2). The gto with my new setup will have too much power to be track friendly so the sti will be perfect for me!

Welcome!

I love the GTO's as well, considered getting one when I got my STi, but the 2-doors killed it. The best thing about the GTO is how much of a sleeper it is.

And did you add duals to your GTO? I didn't think the LS1's came with dual exhausts.

So far I have added...

370ci forged iron block, Afr 225 heads, Comp cam, d1sc Procharger (hoping for 650-700whp@ 10psi), baer 14 in brake kit, 2005 SAP Hood, SPEC 3 Clutch/SLP Flywheel, Stainless Works LongTube Headers, Borla Stainless Dual Exit Exhaust, M.T.I. 78mm Billet Throttlebody, 19" TSW thruxton's w/toyos, AP Chin & Rear Spoilers, SLP underdrive Pulley, Autocross Grills....

I ended up doing mine with a buddy who had done it before, just to play it safe. I really like the cleared headlights, some do not.
