Default loud noise at high speed

let me preface this question by acknowledging the inherent recklessness of driving at triple digit speeds on public roads; i do however, believe these speeds can be achieved with relative safety with a bit of common sense and prudence.

now for the question: above 120 mph, i just noticed that i am getting a loud buzzing/whining sound coming from the car. not the usual wind noise (and i dont think for the spoiler, though it is an 06 if that helps). it sounds like it might be from the tires, which concerns me because i just put blizzak lm25's on (which are rated for this speed). the odd thing is, it will start to come on at 120, but at 115 is disappears; the sound is light a lightswitch - on, then off. before i take my car to the dealer and ask them to address a concern that only occurs above a very high speed (i hope they dont have to drive my car to look it this), i thought i might see if you guys know. anyone think it is the tires? the car doesnt become unstable at all, but it is very unsettling. many thanks.

is it a tire issue then, and not a mirror whistle?? just wondering what causes it.

ive also noticed the colder it is it seems to make them def do it, i just hit 140 on the way home from 7-11 ( not saying its ok in any way, but its an empty highway) and it was 26F at this time it has to be tires

i have no idea why they do it, but they arent really made for this kinda speed even if there rated for it

Hi fellas!

Funnily enough, i also get this weird 'switch going on, then off' repeatedly at approx. 1min intervals when i drive at times whether high or low speeds. More frequent/obvious when i'm spooling up and up the revs. And at times there's no such sounds... like WTF?

Mine's a JDM ver8 STi.
