get used to it, this car makes all kinds of rattling and squeaking noises. I have just learned to ignore them.

hmm i think i have the same sound...i kept thinking it was the spoiler, so i made sure everything was tight and it was...plus it has that stuff under it so it shouldn't squeek...

it's the ONLY noise i have also so it's retarded.

Me too, I tightened up the wing and I've fooled myself into thinking its decreased. I just hope it's not the damn struts.

I have various squeaks/rattles/whistles, and one day soon I'm going to have my little girlie (Kristin, she's 9) go through the car front to back to find them all, and then post my fixes.

I HATE it when people say "it's a performance car, so it should have squeaks and rattles". Bull. It of course should be louder because of less sound-deadening material, but Subaru didn't reverse all their NVH R&D because this is an STi, the fit and finish are responsible, and for a $25K car (which is what it is without all the STi toys) it's crazy.

Enough of my ranting, I'm all for a NVH/squeak/rattle/whistle thread.

BTW, I too have the rear window/headliner squeak.

I've got a squeak in the rear upper seatbelt assembly/cover thing that my brother helped me locate (but not cure). I'm getting used to the squeaks - the latest is coming from my front brakes when i'm not using them. Pretty annoying, but I'm going to change pads pretty soon and hopefully that will cure it.

The sti is my 4th subie and I've come to expect it from these cars. These are the little idiosyncracies that makes the subie lovable...mysterious rattles/squeeks/noises. My 06 has the rear headliner squeek, along with the glove box ticking, driver's side door rattle, whistling from the side view mirrors, etc...I really could care less, if I wanted a quiet car, I would have gotten a luxury car. (ex: g35, tl, is350, 330i, etc...). I'm probably just gonna get a louder turboback.
