"get used to it, this car makes all kinds of rattling and squeaking noises. I have just learned to ignore them."

I love all my little noises in my Subaru.... My "older" Lexus is "boring" and quite....

Talking Re: I hear Squeaking noises...

I think all cars squeak like hell if there modified a little , my mustang made a hell of a lot more noise months down the road after i lowered it, and my honda was probably the best but it did make noise here and there , but you have to realize your driving a rally car , the suspension and structure of the car is the same exact thing as the car you see when rally championships. and even the G35's make all kinda off noise from the interior and thats suppose to be a luxury car ? bottom line your driving a car with racing modifications and you don't think after a few thousand miles your not going to here noise , just think of the abuse we put our subaru's in ? the G-force that body goes threw , no honda nor mustang or infiniti , bmw whatever goes threw that abuse , so be thank full that your car isn't falling apart around 50k miles. Race cars (sti) on the track on a regular basis costs a lot of money to maintain cause of the abuse the cars take, well that doesn't make you any different, cause your car i'm pretty sure is getting abused at some point in time , thats why you bought it lol

i'm at 53k and really i hear no noise just recently i started hearing the glove box squeaking but to fix that , just open your glove box and close good again then the squeaking should leave works for me, until the noise comes back again lol

I LOVE MY SUBARU and wouldn't change it for any car , I've had all kinds of different cars but nothing still to this day puts a big smile on my face but when i'm in my STI

Take a piece of quarter inch weatherstripping and run it across the top of the glove box itself. When you press it shut, it will ensure that the latch doesn't tick. If you press against it normally, you'll see that it moves a bit. The weatherstripping gets rid of the slop in the mechanism.

Give it a look. You'll see what I mean.

For informational pupose.

I had this slight, almost inaudible tick in the rear. It sounded like something metallic was loose. I would only hear it when driving on the highway. It became quite annoying. I checked the trunk, jack, spare, exhaust, suspension. This went on for months.

Eventually, I was installing my son's car seat and I heard a single click that I instantly knew was it. It ended up being the rear seat back. I grabbed and shook the top of the seat and there it was. It went away with the car seat in as the strap over the back pulled down on the seat and kept it tight. I am guessing, since I haven't removed the rear seats, that the rear seat back hangs at the top and bolts at the bottom with a slot system and if I was to remove the seat bottom, loosen the bolts, and with some pressure on the top of the seat back, tighten the bolts, it would go away.

Just something for you guys to think about when searching for any rear squeaks.
