IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I've been searching different insurance companies to find how much my insurance would cost for the 2 cars. I'm finding that STI's tend to have higher rates than the evo. Do you guys have any idea why STI would cost more than the evo? This ad is not endorsed by this member. I found this exact thing out when I was looking at both cars and went to my insurance agent to find out the quotes and then found the Evo was cheaper to insure than the STi. |

So then he asks me to fax him the specs on the 04 because he didn't have them. He calls me after an hour and goes: "Hmmm...there is something odd here........it says 300 horsepower turbocharged....I'm not sure if I can give you this particular rate" LMAO. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2004 Trader Rating: (6) | I find this all very interesting. I know that the insurance on my STi is cheaper than the cost of an EVO by at least $30-40. I can't remember the exact amount, but I remember the EVO costing more to insure. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | My premiums with the Evo were higher actually. When I got the Sti they went down by about $80 every six months even though I dropped my deductable to $500. So it all depends on the person, place, company I guess... |

I went to Gieco and now im paying 1,000$ more per year than my last car, acura legend 1993, but about 4,000$ less than allstate per year. Yeah, not cheap. |
