Ok so let me start. Will logging my fuel trims I noticed my ltft was hitting +9.28%, when I accelerated the fuel trim decreased to 0. Suggesting boost leak. I today fixed the boost leak. It was the wastegate solenoid hose to the intake pipe. Letting more more air in.
Now this time I logged the fuel trims & noticed the ltft is back to 0. So fixed BUT noticed my stft hitting +9.56%, as though even with no boost leak the stft is adding lots of fuel into the engine. By now I should explain that I got a Walbro 255 pump, & an adjustable FPR. The FPR is set at the usual static pressure of 43 psi, & fuel rail pressure is at 38 psi. Which is the standard OEM spec.
So I thought if I reduce the fuel rail pressure on the FPR to 36 psi to compensate the Walbro pump what would it do!? What happened is my ltft jumped up to +8.76% & my stft went down to +0.77. This showed me that by reducing my fuel rail pressure, I made the engine think it had a boost leak again. Even though I fixed the leak.
I need to find away to relieve the fuel rail pressure so I can get back to 38 psi on my FPR so there is no boost leak & the stft is then reduced. So my question is should I get bigger injectors = (bigger holes in injectors) to compensate the pressure in the rails? I will also get my ECU remapped. Just incase someone suggests to do that anyway lol.
