The STI is pretty difficult as far as manuals go IMO. It take more finesse to drive smoothly since you have the AWD and the SI drive makes it difficult since the throttle is all over the place.

lamest excuse ever.
Oh hay it's my resident sack rider.

Actually, she still finds the clutch on the VDub much more difficult to drive with because it has such a long throw and release. And the STi she finds much easier to drive. The clutch in the STi is shorter, and the added torque helps make driving a stick easier at least when comparing an STi to a GTi for instance.

1. The sti is good for me and my last car was a 99 nissan sentra 1.6l auto so it was a big switch for me give it a few weeks to get used to it and you'd be fine. Its my first manual car but not the first i've driven.

2. Look on your drivers side door i'd bet it'll tell you where its assembled, there was a big deal on where cars were assembled and how they were tariffed.

hahaha, I made that post before you got "offended", you're becoming my favorite member!

For me, the STI has a long throw compared to most new vehicles. It's about at the same distance my MX-6 has with almost 100K miles on the original clutch!!!
