Default 03-04 Cobra to STI?

Anybody jump from an 03/04 cobra to an STI? I live in upper michigan and we get dumped on with snow and it'd be nice to drive something nice all year round but my cobra is pretty fun to drive. I get it out from April to November. Maybe I'll get both....

I had a 03 cobra with 508rwhp a few cars ago. It was a beastly car but I think the STI is just as fun to drive with a couple mods. It handles better, has a nicer interior (imo) and the AWD is a huge plus, especially for you in michigan!

It makes more sense to have an awd car up there. I love burning the tires off and the sound of a V-8 though. I've heard some STI's that actually sound pretty tough, better than the fart can civics.those are so obnoxious haha. I actually have a ton of suspension stuff, subframes connectors, full coil overs, tubular k member..etc so my cobra handles pretty good. I'm sure the awd handles a little better though. I'm gonna test drive one when I get back this summer and see what I think. Thanks for the input.

No problem. Cobra's are some of the best sounding cars in my opinion, I had a borla stinger catback with a bassani catted x-pipe and the roar produced was heavenly.

STI's sound amazing for a 4 cylinder though!

First thing I bought was borla stingers. the kid I bought it from had stock exhaust and it only had 22k miles. I'm thinking about a KB, I guess we'll see.

I went from a Supercharged C5 Corvette to an STI and have been very happy.

I was actually looking at 03-04 Cobras last year. I'd had a foxbody Mustang and fell in love with the V8 sound. Those year of Cobras are amazing and have so much potential but Im glad I kept my STI and didnt make the switch. If I could afford both though..........done! haha

I had an 04 Cobra with 450hp, new till 42k miles before I sold it.

I have an 08 STi stage 2 now, and it is so much better of an all around can I wouldn't go back to the 04 Cobra if I could and haven't enjoyed a car this much in my life.

No comparison, once you get a properly dialed in STi, you'll never miss your cobra. The handling makes it an infinitely better car.

My .02 cents from personal experience.

P.S. There is nothing 'ricey' about the exhaust note on these cars. I had a Borla exhaust for my Cobra and it sounded awesome, I currently have a Borla on my STi and it sounds like a mini V8 and sounds SICK nasty. No problem with 'rice sounds' on the STi with the right exhaust... To me it sounds like my old Cobra's little brother.
