Haha, I've never heard anyone call it a skittle...I call it a Neon.

Everything else is a negative. It has a cheap interior, crappy suspension, crappy chasis, crappy drivetrain, crappy looks, crappy brakes; you get the picture. As a matter of fact when I went on a test drive with a guy from the Dodge dealership the damn thing overheated and we had to stay on the side of the road for 30 minutes to wait for it to cool off, I was laughing the entire time.

Everytime I see a SRT4 I roll down my rear windows (automatic pwns!).

By the way I raced a SRT4 with a 35r when my STi was stock from light to light and he didn't stand a chance. I'm pretty sure he was still at the light spinning his two front tires when I made it to the next light. lol...
I have to agree with you on most of the things you listed, except looks. I keep looking at the STI and I keep thinking of a wagon, due to the rear end. I either like wingless or with the WRX wing, I'm checking it out. I really like the body of the SRT4. However 400-500 hp in the thing seems pretty useless with FWD.

There was a hardcore SRT owner on the forums. One day he wrecked it and a week later bought an STI. He fell in love with it instantly. I guess it just takes a test drive.

By the way, is the best way to look at different pictures through the user logs or whatever it's called? If someone could point me to non-stock STI's that may appeal to me more(lowered, different appearances, etc...). I'm aware that it will be safer, nice interior, make great power, and the list goes on but I'd also like to see different exterior options.

This picture really does it for me to give you an idea....

simple actually....i found a place that has 93 octane with NO ethanol....drive nice 90% of the time...shifting at 3k piece of cake

i did tune the out of boost part of my map for fuel econ as well though...bumped the AFRs a little bit leaner

i will say this though...if i drive it hard i get roughly 10mpg or LOWER so its sorta done because gas is expensive lol

I also just showed my girlfriend an STi and she said "Hey that looks like that WRX car". Haha shes biased towards Subaru, her mom drives a Forester. I'll for sure drive both to see which I like better.

I know there's a thread with differences between years but I didn't see any differences between '06 and '07, are there any? I think I saw somewhere about a cd player with aux input in an '07??
The 07s have longer gears and come with a crappy factory tune. The early 06's have plastic/gel motor mounts that tend to break. Both are pretty easy to fix.

you know, as soon as i found out about the plastic/gel motor mounts on mine, I was scared, but they have yet to break, and I've had the car for over 1.5 years with a lot of launches and days to the track as well as strip. it just comes down to the luck of the draw.
