Default Blow Off Valve = "slower" Performance

well guys i just ordered this BOV from Perrin Performance (Perrin Performance - Blow Off Valve VTA)
. But now i'm hearing that a BOV can make my STi "slower". Someone please explain. Thanks ahead of time.

if you search around this forum, you'll find tons of info about why bov's hurt proformance on our cars unless your tuned for the bov. example, if your not tuned for it, causes the engine to run rich and crappy, making car slower. hope this helps in some way.

The stickies are the threads atop each forum marked with red type. They're absolutely a critical resource compiled for your convenience. There are stickies in each forum. Give'em a read and you can avoid this kind of thing in the future.
