Default Stupid Question For 07 STI Owners

Well I posted this in my newbie introduction with no luck so I thought I would try it in it's own post. I need some help from you guys that drive the 2007 STI. I'm very interested in buying a 2007 STI limited but I have one concern, does the vehicle have an option for a power seat? I'm basically 6'6" and every bit of 230lbs so in my past vehicles a power seat was needed. Is this the case in the STI? Is anyone on here about my size that can enlighten me? I would just go sit in one but they're nowhere to be found except private parties! Please help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! Oh and if this is a re-post I apologize\, I did a search with no luck.

I'm trying to figure out why you think you need an electric seat? I mean I know they are nice, but am I missing something? I'm not as tall as you, I am 5' 10" but weight 250lbs and have no issues moving the seat, its not hard or anything.....I hope this helps...I'm not sure what your looking for

im 6'2" and 215 and find my car very comfortable. also dont understand why you want a power seat? the drivers seats moves foward and back and also has a lever to adjust how high/low the seat sits. Maybe thats what you are worried about because your tall??

either way i dont think you'd have a problem, you'd be having to much fun to even realize it

I am the same exact build as you. I am 5'10 and around 250 and moving the seat is no issue at all, sure it requires some "oomph" but other then that, its all good.

In every vehicle that I have owned I've needed a power seat because of head room. I normally have the bottom part of the seats back end all the way down and the front of the bottom part of the seat up. This allows for me to have more head room. Its not a questions of being hard to move or leg room. I don't know how to explain it other then they way I just did. Hopefully someone in here that is close to my height can tell me if head room is an issue.

Put in a spec c roof vent and just stick your head out that. Or actually doesn't the limited have a sunroof if thats what you're looking at

Seriously though, I'm like 6'2" and I have plenty of room and the seat isn't all the way down. Its not electric or anything but you can manually raise and lower the seat.

EDIT: Maybe a stupid question but if you have one you're looking at...why not just go sit in it and see?

So is everyone that is on this site a bunch of a-holes or what? First off the difference between 6'2" and 6'6" is substantial, especially when you're talking about head room. Secondly head room has nothing to do with laziness. You don't know me, don't assume anything. Thirdly isn't this a newbie forum? Isn't this where these types of questions are asked by people that aren't educated on these vehicles unlike you guys? You guys need to take that edge off and try to put yourself in my shoes. It's like you didn't even read what I was saying. I WOULD GO SIT IN ONE IF I COULD FIND ONE. I'VE NEEDED A POWER SEAT IN ALL OF MY PAST VEHICLES BECAUSE OF MY HEIGHT. WHAT WOULD MAKE ME THINK AN STI WOULD BE ANY DIFFERENT!!!!! I'LL GO TO ANOTHER FORUM AND SEE IF I CAN GET MY QUESTION ANSWERED. Thanks for your time and sorry to bother you.

Jesus man, calm down. Sorry if you got offended but it does seem like several people, myself included, tried our best to answer your question. No, were not all as tall as you, and no one is discounting the fact that at that height you've had problems fitting comfortably in cars before. However, we have to work with what we have. I or no one else can "make" ourselves taller. Now as I said before. I'm 6'2, I do not have the seat adjusted all the way down so there is still some room do drop it further, and I have about 3-4 in clearance between the top of my head and the roof.

Hope this helps and you stick around.

I apologize for getting fired up. I'm a very detailed oriented person and it definitely doesn't help when I'm going to spend $30K on a car. I thought that it would be easy to find one of these so I could sit in it but it's proven otherwise. If anyone on thi site know's of a dealership that has a 07 Limited STI that I can check out in AZ please let me know. Thank you for answering my question as best as you can, it's appreciated.

One of the coolest things about the Sti is that its not around the corner at the neighborhood located dealers, unless your lucky. If it were easy to find, try, buy, many more would be on the road IMO.I dont want that.
Im about 6-4 245 to 260 depending on the time of the year.I bought my car at 260.
It fits like a glove.Not O.Js' glove haha .
The manual adjustment has a wide range to fit all of our sizes, except maybe your avg.6-9 NBA off gaurd or your avg midget.

I have to agree with you. I have bought and sold a ton of cars in my few years and the STI is by far the hardest to locate. You may as well forget about looking for one if you're going to be specific on options, this is why I may not end up with a Limited. They're too hard to find and all of them are 1,500-2,000+ miles away. I'm leary about buying one without looking at it!

The fact that you're 6'4" and about 260 makes me feel a little better about the seat. Thanks for your post!

If you're 6'6", keep in mind that the '07 STI Limited has a moon roof which detracts a bit from the available head room. I'm 6'2" and I have my seat all the way lowered and I still don't have too much extra head room. Although I probably have my seat back more upright than some people do - if you recline more then you get more head room. Since you're so tall, be sure to try the seat in different positions and see if anything works for you before buying.

I don't have a limited so I can't say for sure but I have had sunroofs in almost all my other cars and you typically lose a few inches of headroom with a sunroof. Something to think about if you indeed want a limited. I just checked the online inventories of all the AZ dealerships and didn't see a new 07. I'm sure there is a probably a member on here that may live close by and let you sit in their car, though. If you do decide that its the car for you, I think I saw where a couple of dealerships in Fla still have a couple 07's for sale that could maybe do a transfer for you
