Default Brand New Subbie Owner And Car

hey guys i just recently bought myself a blue 04 sti.well a little about the car itself.well i bought it for 23,799 and i gave 8gz down.it only came with 30xxx miles and had one owner.older 30 and up year old man. well at least that is what the guy at the dealer told me.haha.i been in that aftermarket scene before but with honda's and never did a turbo setup.im 18 years old and im from new york area.i know alot of you guys going to say ohh he a young buck or he cant drive.i been driving since 12 in my dad's old galant and been working on cars since 13 with my uncles.i love the car and i love this forum so far.i was in the battle between sti and evo9 but the sti won my heart as a daily driver and a beast. well this is what i wanna do with my car in the future i want a safe daily 500whp beast.i have 4 thousand to play with now.so if you guys can be kind enough to guide me with some quick tips.i just dont want to do power.i want to touch all aspects of the car.so if you guys could tell me what i should do with the money.thanks guys and oh yea i almost forgot.if anyone around northeast area with meets for subbie and help me out in this new world im be in hahah

Welcome man! First and formost, work on you're driving skills. Not that their bad, but perfect them in the sti. Learn it's do's and dont's. As for the 4g's you have to spend. Get an cobb accessport v.2, turbo back exhaust, and swaybars(whiteline), then get some kartboy shifter bushings and short shifter. Shortly after you can get protunned with only a fuel pump and boost controll selinoid.

I would recomend putting the rest of the money towards track days and tires/rims. I'm a big fan of suspension, so it really depends on what you're goals are for th car. I'm assuming a daily driver with spirited driving in between?
