Default sti mod questions

Hey just wanting some advice on best and cheapest ways to get around 400 horses (besides NOS) out of my 04 sti. Got spt intake and three inch resonator back straight pipe. Helped quite a bit but thinkin of also doin hks sqv bov and cobb ap. Prob should get a real exhaust too lol... Also does anyone know anything about the varex x-force remote control muffler? was intriged by the idea.

ok wow.....did you read the stickies?
BOV= NO
AP= yes
the most powerful exhaust you can get is the best flowing..you do the math
intake, downpipe, AP, meth...that should get you almost there....EWG (external wastegate) would help as well

BOV will make you slower

1. You need to search a LOT more about all of these topics.

2. Are we talking about 400 whp or 400 bhp? There is a BIG difference..
2a. For 400 bhp, go with stage 2 plus meth (methanol injection), headers, and a protune.
2b. For 400 whp, you will need a bigger turbo and all the supporting mods.

First of all you are not going to see 400 WHP on any dyno reguardless on the stock turbo. My recommendation and the cheapest route would be.
1. TD06 20g
2. Deatchwerks 650cc injectors.
3. Walbro fuel pump.
4. Snow performance Meth/Water injection.
5. Spend the money on a professional tune.
6. Engine management, COBB AP or UTEC

Allright, we need one of the moderators to put the sticky about how bov's are bad on the top of the FAQ/Newbie forum cause obviously not alot of people look in the threads of interest which is sad lol.

Everyone has their own way of reaching their goal, I would research and figure it out on your own instead of asking people to do it for you. Everyone has different preferences and theirs may not be the same as yours.
