How much wheel horse power does a stock 04 STI have?

You will probably dyno somewhere in the 240-260 range I am guessing.

any idea with spt cold air intake, heat sheild and exhaust system what the whp and wtq would be?

Dyno numbers are dependent on a number of different factors. Add in the extremely vague "exhaust system" comment and it could be anywhere from 250 to 11th billion. Be more specific.

it depends on the dyno. but around 240.

the spt intake is a ram air, and not a cold air intake.

with a full turboback and a tune you will be around 280-290ish.

I have an 04 STI totally stock except for
this exhaust
SOA8377900 SPT PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM-CAT-BACK WRX, STI $560.00
and this intake
SOA8431000 SPT HIGH FLOW AIR INTAKE SYSTEM WRX, STI $209.95
and the heat sheild that goes with the intake. Subaru claims 30hp and 20lb-ft torque gain to the 07 STI...which i am sure is not whp. I am just trying to find out approximatley how much wheel horsepower I have.

Catted or not? 3.5", 3", or tapered? Pro tune or OTS map? Is it hot and humid on the dyno day, or is it cold and dry? Using 91 octane or 93 - or race gas?

I don't think we can even generalize without a little more input.

A cat back doesn't do a whole lot, and neither does the intake. Depending on the dyno, you're somewhere between 240 and 260. And that's a blind guess. See my previous post for other factors to take into account.

EDIT: Also note that different cars have different output. No two cars are identical. You might have a factory freak that puts down more power. The truth is, there's really no way to tell. Generalizations are about as useful as political promises in this case.

yeah, thats only a catback. i wouldent expect to see much of a gain over stock with the spt parts.

I have an 04 STI which also has, as it's only mods, the SPT (warranty) upgrade intake and catback exhaust. On the dyno 3 weeks ago, 91 octane, I got 265 whp which my tuner said was slightly higher than he expected.
