Protunes are usually in the neighborhood of 400 dollars give or take some.

Often its a combination of paying for dyno time and the tuners fees to tune. It all usually adds up to somewhere close to 400 though.

Don't know of anyone in NC though.

Don't know about N.C. area, but up here in the northeast, a stage 2 protune will cost you approx $450 to 550.

It is worth it, but I'd buy a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and anything else you were thinking of getting done first just to stretch the value a little more.

Most tuners only charge like an additional 100 or so to give you another map for race gas, etc, etc, if you were thinking of doing that.

edit to add to the post below me:

It's DEFINATELY worth it to travel to a worthwhile tuner as opposed to someone who doesn't know STi's. Not worth the danger of having a bad tune that could potentially F your engine.

Where are you at in NC? You might look into Boxer4Racing. I think their tunes are like $375 for couple hours of dyno time

TopSpeed Inc. Charges $159.99 an hour. It usually take anywhere from 1-4 hours I usually quote 2. And there is a $40.00 dynojet service fee.

PS. If you purchase the Cobb AP from us you receive a half hour of free tuning.

Take care!
