Default New STi Owner here

Hello everyone.

My name is Andrew and yesterday I drove from Virginia up to Massachusetts to pick up my 05 CGM STi. The ride back was about 9 hours long..but I sure as hell wasn't complaining. I fell in love with it instantly. I'll get pictures up later today, I'm at work right now. Glad to finally be a part of owning one of these..now I can show everyone what all the hype is really about. Car handles like a dream..love the power..but more to come very soon.

I have a few questions though, I've been reading up but I'm still a noob. Mods to come in the very near future: TurboXS WRX STI Turbo Back Exhaust w/ Cat and RFL-Ti Muffler, Cobb Tuning Accessport Version 2. Also, I plan on getting either a CAI or short ram? Don't know which would be better, and also a BOV (I'm not gonna lie to you guys, I need something a little louder than the stock one ) but I'm not sure which to go with for the intake and BOV. Anyone have an idea? Thanks guys.

Wecome
Congrats on getting your 05!
your future mod list looks pretty good except for the BOV. An intake will make the stock BPV alot louder. I would recomend an APS intake alot of people around here like them.

Welcome and congrats on the new STi. before modding ANYTHING, search the forums. BOVs are not well-liked around here. STi mods in general are tricky and most engine mods require some sort of tuning.

You can also spend some time going through the Member Journals and reading about what others have done.

Actually yeah Andrew, I've driven a mildly modified STI before when taking test drives last year and I noticed how much you could hear the turbo. This was with just an intake and exhaust from SPT I believe. Whatever direction you go in, I wish you the best and enjoy the car.
