Default Quick Question!

Hey I just bought myself a 2004 STi... Its pretty much stock except for a K&n Shortram intake.. I was wondering whats the best RPm to launch at? I have launched on a 2005 tC FWD, but I am Struggling with the AWD STi..
I appreciate the help
Thanks

Try the search tab about 04 STI launch. I'm guessing between 5 - 5.5 K would be ideal.

i launched for the 1st time today. i have been reading and reading and reading. i reved to about 5-5.5k slip the clutch quickly and try differernt dccd settings, i did one up from full open. i had some wheel spin and good launch, minor clutch smell due to my lil bit too slow slipping the clutch...but practice makes improvement

I was reading alot and i read that you should gradually release clutch while adding more gas.. is that true? but they also said rev to 4k.. for stock at least

correct/ like i said. slipping the clutch... u do it gradually yes. but not slow. u get the clutch just as it grabs, and u lift ur foot like u stepped in dog poo. (slipping the clutch like from normal taking off much faster) but rev to 5 or 5.5 and wen u do u blimp the throttle, make sure ur foot goes to the floor wen blimping so u build more boost

Full open is the best setting for dccd. i usually launch around 4500~5000. it works pretty good.
