Personally, if it was me, I'd stay away from a car with a reconstructed title.

Even if the car is in great shape, it could cause you problem down the road when it comes time to sell (e.g. prospective buyers may be put off by the reconstructed title).

However, if you're interested in pursuing this, I'd ask them for "before" pictures so you can see how badly the car was damaged. Also, spend the money to have the car pre-purchase inspected by either a Subaru dealer or an independent shop.

Hard to believe it was totaled with minimal damage.

you can get an sti with similar miles and a clean title for a couple thousand more, why bother with a reconstructed one?

Unless you can get that one for < 15k, i don't think it's worth it.

Just because a vehicle is in a "minor" accident, which is how the ad describes
it, does not mean there is a reconstructed title. A reconstructed or salvage title occurs when a car is totaled in an accident and then purchased by a salvage dealer or person who then repairs the car for sale. It almost always means a very serious accident that costs more to repair than the car is worth. I would stay clear of the car because it will be difficult down the road when u try and sell it. You will notice that this dealer is an independent used car dealer and not a bona fide Subaru dealer. NO WAY, NO HOW!
