Default 08 impreza 4 foor... Sti?

Im Currently in love with the 08 impreza wrx, will they ever make a non hatchback sti?

As far as looks all the older sti's are far nicer than the hatchback sti, imo.

Subaru has released no information about future STi incarnations. Anything you find out there is simply rumor and nothing more. I would imagine it'll be at LEAST 2010 before any significant styling changes are made.

wow that sucks, I just dont understand why they would move the STI from normal sedans to hatchback? Im sure more people would drive STI sedans than hatchbacks.

Fixed. Contrary to our own belief, we are not the center of the universe. Also, Subaru wanted to be competitive in rally again, and the sedan doesn't cut it. Solberg himself had a hand in this hatch design (or so the rumors would have us believe).

True, but why not come out with a STI sedan, that way they make money in america, and keep me happy

But if they made an impreza wrx sedan dont they have to make a impreza wrx sti sedan?

thats what they did with 02's-07's

I doubt any car manufacturer is really paying attention to what the US markets want right now...we would have to be buying their cars for them to show interest.

1) Contrary to what some people believe, the 08s are not slow sellers. They're doing fine.

2) Development costs related to chassis development, and developing parts which would be exclusive to the sedan (widebody fenders, including the rear which are part of the unibody, etc.) would be too high.

There are economies at work that none of us are privy to. However, I again point to Solberg and say: hatchbacks come from European minds. Like his.
