Default Newbie needs advice

Hi everyone I am new to this site and have been reviewing it for the past couple days. I am thinking of purchasing an 08 Sti and have the opportunity to purchase one for 36,900 with nav. It is Blue with Gold BBS. I currently drive an Infiniti M45 which I am turning in by end of summer.

Looking for good advice and I'm eager to explore the tuning world.

That's a bargain considering it comes with the Nav. I have the same exact STI, without the Nav...bought it for 35,500. Take it! Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. I am going to test drive this week and I am psyched. Reading some of the discussions people were worried about mileage on there brand new 08's. I think it has 30 miles already while sitting on the lot. Any thoughts?

I f**king LOVE the M45....if I could have a second car that would definitely be in the running for my top choice. As far as the STI goes...it is a totally different beast. 36,900 for BBS and Nav seems like a good deal...although you could probably do better in the current market. I would take the M45 over any G series infiniti, lexus (except the IS-F) or bimmer (except M-series)....which makes me think...why didn't nissan make the skyline an infiniti to compete with these models...? of well...bottom line is "get the STI"

I love the M45 but it's time for a change. I have been following the rise of the WRX Sti for a while and have always been amazed by the technology. Not that the M45 lacks in that department. As for the skyline under the Infiniti brand name I think it would piss a lot of Nissan loyalists off. Especially overseas but who knows maybe Infiniti will come out with a beefier version with a new name and price it out to compete with the Big name Mercs and Italian competition.

Welcome and good luck on the future purchase!

FWIW after driving my dad's G35, then my STi for a year and then the G35 again, which I used to think was quick/agile, I felt like I was in a Caddy!

I got an opportunity for metallic grey at 35500 with no nav but silver bbs. I have the blue with gold BBS and Nav for 36900 but they are still willing to negotiate. The Blue I found out has 60 miles on it and has been on the lot since Feb. The Grey one has 20 miles and they took delivery on it 2 weeks ago. The grey deal will also throw in blizzak tires for 650. Not sure what type. I have two payments on my lease left for the M45 which takes me through August. I'm thinking of closing one of these deals if they can somehow relieve my payments. Thoughts?
