IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I was just wondering if it was possible to put a porsche engine inside an 06 STi or ANY STi for that matter. Do the engine mounts match up? Does the transmission fit? Does the Porsche motor even fit? Has anyone heard of this being attempted? Just the thought of the GT3's engine in the STi....! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Its pretty much a bolt in affair the only reason nobody has done is because its sachreligious. All kidding aside, no im sure they don't bolt up. However you can make anything fit with the right amount of money, so if you got it go for it. |

Would like to hear from someone that knows for sure. I might not have the money for the swap now, but boy it would make quite the build! |

Perrin Performance - PERRIN H6 Build Even if I had the money I wouldn't do the swap. If you want something Porsche in your car get the six pot brakes and put the rest of your money into a Cosworth long block. PowerStation |

| STI Driver | Not worth the cash to put a GT3 engine and tranny into an STi when you could achieve the same and even more power for tons less. Swapping a GT3 motor into something that weighted less than 2500 pounds, however, would be a beast. -Ben This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
