Default ? about my new 05 wrx sti

Hi im new to this forum and I just bought me a stock 05 sti im wanting to do a few upgrades do it but i dont know much about what is good. So far i do know that i want to get a catback exhaust and a blow off valve. money is not a issue what would u all say would be the best sounding exhaust if im wanting a deep loud nice sounding racing exhaust? and what about a good sounding blow off value? thanks

Haha oh my. What ever you do don't say blow off valve on this fourm, unless you want a huge turbo. They tend to make our cars run rich, and provide nothing but a sound "known to most as rice"...I would recomend a invidia g200 ,awsome sound and deep rumble. And Do some suspension, thats where our cars strive! Sway bars and possible some "good" springs and you'll be very happy.

B: READ the FAQs about BOVs and dont get one
C: the best exhaust is personal preference you will get a million different answers

the best 2 starting mods you can do....downpipe and engine management

ok thanks i didnt know that BOV are bad lol but as far as down pipes what brand would u recomend

you have a lot to learn my friend, but your in the same boat most of us were when we bought our cars. BOV are... and if your looking for a good exhaust you should check out youtube as there are tons of sound clips there for almost every exhaust. These cars are really sensitive to anything you put on them, so if you plan on modifying your car then i would suggest picking yourself up an EM(engine management.) IMO... the COBB AP(accessport port) is your best bet. good luck with your car. +129832982 to suspension mods as well
