engines are gonna blow no matter how they are made. what causes them to blow up is where the difference lies. was it honest mechanical failure of some sort? or was it driver error? turbo s2k's can put down some pretty impressive numbers on stock internals, you should check it out.

See you're still not getting it. You make up something like this blah blah blah not impressive blah blah blah handling blah blah blah . You see, my response was to someone that said their modded s2k kept up with a stock sti from a roll. You just out of no where throw your garbage response out there like someone said their modded sti kept up with an s2k around a road course. Hopefully you understood my response this time, didn't think the first one was that hard to figure out though.

I'm willing to bet you and I have different views on impressive numbers on stock internals. Please feel free to throw some numbers out there though.

Just wow. Like talking to children with these people sometimes.

Edit: I'll refrain from derailing this thread any further, but vette...that usage of intuitive makes no sense. Check s2ki.com to learn a little bit more about S2000s before sounding too silly in the future.

a guy from my local s2k club put down 422whp, stock motor. he's been through a few rear ends and axles but everything else on the car has held up pretty well.

Not bad, so it can take about the same hp as a non forged sti engine. It sucks about the weak rear ends on the s2ks. I have never really heard of them having that issue.

Pump gas only, I could care less about engines running race gas so they don't blow to pieces.

EDIT: It was funny seeing some of those s2ks in your link with over 300 whp and under 200 wtq.

yea alot of the components of the rear are out of the mazda miata. both cars are plenty capable of putting down some numbers, its just a question of how far the owner wants to take it and how deep their pockets are.
