Default strange rpm

I get a rough idle during cold starts
it generally fluctuates around 1400-1700

I've also noticed that, when i'm driving and shift into neutral
the rpm drops to 700 then bounces back up and comes back down

07 sti
mods are:
SPT SRI + heatshield
SPT catback
and Cobb AP stage 1

I live 4,400 feet above sea level if that matters lol

is there something wrong? or am i just paranoid
Thank you

My 04 does the same thing. I don't think it does anything bad. Can anyone verify? I'm Stage 2.

I think its when you let out of the clutch too fast... I might be wrong... Need to go test that out... I have noticed it but not whats going on when it happens

I'm a 2007 stage one, mine does the same thing. At first I thought I was pushing in the clutch while still giving it gas and this was causing it, no this is not the cause. Before I went stage 1, this rpm "bouncing" was slightly more pronounced. I just think it is a trait of the car, maybee somehting to do with a boxer engine, idk? Or maybee it is the car calling me a pu$$y when I let off it to slow down...
