Angry Smoking WRX

I have a 04 WRX with about 70,000 mi. on it. I discovered that there was smoke coming from my turbo so I had it checked out by my tunner shop and they told me that I had blown a seal on my turbo and that it was leaking oil on the downpipe, thats what was causing the smoke. I had purchased a new blouch turbo, FMIC, COBB access port and some other goodies a few months ago so I fugured that I would just have my new parts installed and I would be fine. Everything is on my car and running good but I still have smoke. They did a compression check and they told me that my compresion was fine and that they didnt think it was my piston rings. They told me that they think since my car was 2 1/2 qt.'s of oil short, that my head got too hot and one of my valve seals may have ripped and that it is leaking from there. There are asking me if I want to have my motor pulled, heads re-surfaced and new seals put on to see if thats the problem. Does any body think so or have a different opinion? I have friends that say they think it is because I got a bigger oil supply line for the turbo and not one for the return and that it is burning the oil it cant get rid of fast enough, that my rings are bad or that i may still have oil in my vac lines, intercooler and exhaust and that it may just be burning off. Keep in mind that my car was smoking before the new parts went on and that I have a different exhaust on there that hasnt been used before. Does anybody have any idea whats going on? Compression is good though!
