I’m looking to buy an STI within the next two months. I’m having a hard time deciding on which year I want to buy.

I like the 2004 through 2007 models. But I was looking up some stats, and from various sources I have noticed that the 06-07 are a bit slower than the 04-05 years. I read that the 04-05 years go from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds while the 06-07 is more like 5.2 seconds. Is this true?

Also, does anyone know where I can get info on if the 2009 model will be a sedan?

0-60 times depend on too many things, including driver, track conditions, etc. Suffice it to say that the 04 is lighter than the 05 and 06, and so a tad faster. The 07, though heavier, has better gearing.

99% of drivers aren't going to be able to make a stock 04 or 05 get to 60mph in under 5 seconds.

Subaru has not released any 09 model information yet.
