STi lurker turned STi lover

First of all- my name is ben, i was on the fence about buying an STi- i thought about getting an SUV (xterra, 4runner, fj cruiser), but after reading some of the posts here, and test driving an STi, i was hooked. you guys really pushed me over.

my G/F drives an '01 legacy outback 5-speed which got me thinking subaru, but it really was you all on here that pushed me more towards the bad-boy impreza.

before this, i drove a 1988 ford ranger which i bought as a beater and turned it in to a DD/off-roader. when it couldnt pass inspection (it's still running okay, but now a full time offroader, never to be driven on a paved road again), my dad let me borrow his '04 tundra x-cab

for a bit til i had enough to buy my STi.

just picked up my '05 OBP STi... 22,9XX miles. I am in absolute heaven...even my dad, who's a very harsh critic, says that it's the fastest car he's ever been in. I plan on keeping it stock for a bit (i paid for it myself and am feeling the full effects of that), but i will gladly take suggestions for the best winter tires out there! (i live in northern NH+CO). anyways, everyone here should feel very proud for turning a truck lovin' man in to an impreza nut!

Winter tires are an oft-covered topic in the wheels & tires forum. Go check it out. Blizzaks, Wintersport M3s, Icebears, etc. Lots of good choices.

If you'll go into the Newbie Forum sticky threads (top of the forum), there is a "How to Post Pics" thread. Give the stickies a read throughout the forum and they'll answer a lot of your questions right off the bat.

Hi I am new to the subbie scense 2. I have an 07 altima and Had alot of cars in my past about 20 of them and im Only 24

HEHE I am trying to sell my altima so I can get an 05. Everbody seems to love their STI's and I am sure once I have mine I will 2
