Default hello from iraq!

i just got ahold of a great condition 05 sti. nothing ever modded on it and a 1 owner car. i have been reading your forums like crazy and started piecing together what i want to do. i understand that pretty much a tbe exhaust creates creep and decided to eliminated that issue with the grimmspeed ewg.ofcourse the cobb ap and i like the look of the cobb intake. im twiddling over buying the tgv delete mod that grimmspeed also makes. now reading into all of this my main question is with that much work being done i know it will need a protune. but will it be possable to use the stg 2 tune to make it to a shop, and does anyone know of any good tuners around the seattle tacoma area?

First, welcome to IWSTI.

Second, there are other ways to combat creep than an EWG, which on the stock turbo is probably not the best method.

Third, if you put all of that stuff on, including the EWG, you'd better stay OUT of boost all the way to the tuner. Your car will be running pig rich because the EWG will be releasing air that the ECU has already metered for fueling purposes.

It would probably be best to drop the EWG. Post your tuner search question in the regional forum for best results. Hopefully more folks will chime in.

Good stuff man... I used to be in the army as a 11B infantry stationed in germany. I ets'd and moved down by portland but on the washington side. My brother lives up there in port orchard which is only 30-45mins away from fort lewis. As for meets/drives there is tons.

modaddict is doing one on june 8th. I might go but thats like a 12hr drive all together for me. lol
Sunday June 8th: Cascade Loop Run 2008!!!! - North West Impreza Club Forum -- NWIC - NASIOC

Then there is the Alki beach meet that has over 150 subies each year. I'll be going to this one. This one is on Seattle July 6 (Sun)

B.O.G. Welcome to the site.

There's a wealth of info, both good and bad, and if you ever need any help I'm here. The best advice I can give you is pick 1 tuner, 1 shop, 1 builder and use everything they suggest.

I live about 3hrs from you on the east side of the state.

twigg107, I will be SOOOO dissapointed if you don't go!!
