Default FINALLY got an STi! I have a couple questions.

I bought an '05 Sti after searching for the right one for months I won't dive into all the details but it is immaculate and I am very happy with it. My most important question is; does anyone have, or know of a good tuner in Reno, NV? I have looked around and made some calls but no good help. I have been doing research for months and I know I want to do a catted TBE and a COBB 91 octane Stage II tune. I already have COBB lowering springs, end-links, and swaybars, so the suspension is as far as I need to go. After a little more power, my perfect Sti! It's great to be a part of such a great source of knowledge in this site and I look forward to being a part of it for a long time. Thanks for any help.

Go to Cobb's website and locate the Dealer's link at the top right. Select your state or 1 near you and it will list locations of authorized tuners/dealers. Find 1 that is near to you.

Grats on the STI. Welcome to the forums. Check out all the Sticky threads.

There are a lot of tuners out there, but you might have to take a little bit of a cruise to see one. make sure whoever they are that they are reputable. congrats on the new car and post some pics

Since you're in Reno, NV, if you want to take a not so far away drive to the Bay Area, Mike @ GST can tune you very nicely.

Plus, you don't have to go with a Cobb Dp, you can go with any good 3" catted dp. I like Titek, which is what I run.

Before you get tuned, I would also spend 85$ on a walbro 255 fuel pump. It's cheap insurance and allows the injectors to be fed enough fuel. Only do this mod right before you get tuned. In my case it made the car run very rich and I lost a ton of power.

I appreciate the info everyone. I was just concerned with tuning somewhere at sea level and then diving home to 4500' + alttitude. Is that a concern or am I wrong? I know I am a newbie at tuner cars but I have been wrenching for a lot of years and understand a lot but like I said, I am a newbie at this stuff. Thanks so much for all the help!

That would be something to talk to the tuner about.

Give a few tuners a call and see what they say.
