Default Finally Got My Wrb Sti!!

Alright, I finally got an 06 STI, WRB/GOLD. Its got 29000 miles on it, but I noticed the rear diff having oil on it, is this a normal thing? Its just like a slow seep, U know what im talking about! Also, it has a SPT intake and a Megan exhaust (which sounds nothing like what youtube vids sound like), but I was wondering do I need to buy a COBB AP? I have done some searches on here but Im tired of reading!! Just hook me up with some links or info, if thats possible, or any info like I've noticed everyone here is so great at doing! This is a great website, and a very helpful resource! Is the AP upgradeable for different mods?

YES, get an AP. If the car has an intake without an AP or any kind of EM you may run into trouble real fast. As far as the rear diff goes.... Mine has no oil on it or around it so that may also be a problem.

Welcome my friend. An accessport is not mandatory. But it would be ideal. You will like the gain ALOT more also. The car will be fine with the intake and catback, But I recomend an accessport. It will also help for future mods. A custom dyno tune a.k.a(protune) is what you want. Only you're tunner can personalize maps for you're car.

Is the exhaust from the turbo and back? Why does your profile say you have an 05 AW STI?

Well, I will say sorry about that....thats what I was going to buy. The car I bought is an 06 WRB/GOLD STI. The dealer on the 05 AW was....words I can't mention (he hasn't sold it yet!)!!! Anywho, I am very happy with the 06!

Welcome! You'll buy the AP, install SW on your computer, update the SW, connect AP to computer, run all updates, install on car, ENJOY!

the rear diff problem - I would suspect that they just changed the fluid b/c the car is right at 30K. There is probably just some fluid that wasn't cleaned off on it. Or they didn't put any threadlock on the bottom bolt when putting it back it which would cause a slow seep. My advice, just go ahead and change out the fluid with some motul and use some threadlock on those bolts.
