IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 Trader Rating: (1) | Yeah, I might have to look into that tuning place in Colorado Springs. I am in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and only about 1 1/2 from the Springs. Thanks for the info and heads up about MAC autosport. I only went there 3 times and they were decent. Since I have a new car, might as well try a new dyno. Like I wrote another person in this thread. You weren't a true DSM'er until you blew your engine or broke down on the side of the road!! Thanks to all that have posted on my thread and given me tips to start with. I built on that damn Eclipse for about 7 years and $13,000 later only threw down 356fwhp with 361tq. Like I have mentioned before, I am not ricing my STi out, keeping it as close to stock as possible but I want to achieve 300whp-300+tq. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | I have heard nothing but good things about Revo Performance, but its just not realistic for me to use them unfortunately. Its a toss up between the suby shop ten minutes from my house, or Revo performance 2 hours away..... i would definitely prefer revo performance just because of what i have heard about them... either way i'll prolly end up not using a shop, DIY rotated 30R install and use I-SPEED ECUtek EasyECU tuning.... (datalog your WOT runs, email to I-SPEED, wait for map adjustments, WOT again, email, etc....) |

![]() Two built trannies. (Plus two regular stock trannies) Went through two turbos Three Axles... I just welded my center difff after it went out. Four alternators. And I can't remember everything else... It was bad! Oh, and with my dsm, it broke down on the side of the road about 10-15 times. Good times! It was fast, but such a money pit!!!! You'll love the STI!!!! | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (3) | Also former DSMER here--94 GSX Eclipse. That experience pretty much ruled out any chance of my getting an EVO, even though I wanted one when it first came out. Welcome to world of reliability. My gf told me straight up that "If you get another mitsu, we're breaking up." hahaha I guess she had images of an EVO loaded with gallons of coolant in the back with tons of tools for "just in case" situations. I have to say that IWSTI is an awesome community, but I sometimes laugh when people post "emergency" problems. "I'm overheating. NEED HELP NOW!!!" or "blown headgasket SOA FTL" I sit there and think "Pssssh. If you've never changed your timing belt once a year out of neccessity, replaced failing alternators because of power steering fluid leakage every other month (checkers lifetime ftw), and had oil leaks that were normal, then you really can't complain. j/k But those things really happened to me.
