IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Would be curious to hear of any thoughts of any existing 2008 STi owners that spend some time in the snow. Item #1 upon acquiring one would be putting a snowboard rack on it as I'm driving over the passes about 2 times a month to go boarding. I'm used to driving a 7.6k pound 4x4 with all terrains in that stuff, so i'm curious about how a car half that weight, with AWD and non-all terrains manages it. thanks. The only advantage the truck has is ground clearance but if you aren't going to bottom out the car it should out perform the big heavy truck. Definately don't try it on the stock tires because they are meant for street use only and you'll end up in a ditch real fast. |

Just get a good set of snow tires or (i know i'm gonna get flamed for this) a good set of all season tires(not as good as snow tires but for snow but depending on how much snow driving you do, snow tires may not be worth it) and you will be okay. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I also have toyo all seasons because here in Washington we maybe see snow once or twice a year, but receive rain all the time. Snow tires are more expensive and wear very fast when driving on regular pavement all the time, so all seasons aren't a bad choice imo. |

Grab a set of 17'' rims and blizzacks (or your favorite snow tire), throw the dccd in lock and you'll be all set to get. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
