Default Just Can't Get Away

What's up gang,

I recently gave up my 2006 STI and am now back in the market for an Evo X or STI hatch.

I can't help it: I type in the word "problem" on evolutionm.net and 50 million RECENT threads and posts pop up about a variety of issues with Evos. I type in "problem" on this site and the first page has to go back to 2005 to locate such threads.

I'm so damn drawn to the new Evo's looks but my car needs to be reliable as a daily driver. Why can't Subaru make this easy for me and make a car that my eyes actually like?!

Sorry for the rant, I just want the best of both worlds. I'm hoping the front fascia on the STI gets a facelift in the years to come.

Simple, buy your 06 back. You know the reliablity has to be bad when owners themselves tell you that those cars are not reliable. Like some reviewer said, I'd take Evo for the track, but for every day I'd take the STi.

Thanks but Im done with the 06 generation. I'm ready for the next step so if anything, it'll be a black STI hatch.

I am right with you man! I sold my 05 EVO MR in Aug of last yr, and almost went crazy a few wks after I bought a Toyota Taco. I think most of us love these type of cars so much, that once you part with it, nothing seems to come close to the pure satisfaction you get when you drive these babies. It's your choice, but one of the reasons I went out and bought a 07 STI so fast was the fact that the new EVO and STI just have lost so much of the the rawness that has made these cars so special over the last 10 yrs.

LOL, I'm driving a 2008 Scion XB AUTOMATIC! This is my first automatic car and I believe I am bored to death.

However, there was a good purpose to downgrading for now. I'm in the market for a house and wanted to settle things financially. But I do believe I shall be back in the AWD game very soon.

When's the 2nd Gen STI's coming out anyway? I can't wait to see if they improve the front end.

With the new house and all maybe the hatch will be more practical.
