| Amateur STI Driver | so my friend is selling his 05 blue sti with gold rims, its got around 18k miles, a sub in the back, aftermarket speakers and an alpine head unit. It has an injen CAI and an aftermarket security system (works like **** for some reason). The only flaw in the car is a dent from backing into another car and a scratch on his rear bumper. since im a friend i'm getting it for $22 grand, looking for some feedback, good or bad deal? btw an sti has been a dream of mine and only just became a tangible reality, i look forward to joining the subaru community! | Amateur STI Driver | he's the second owner. he got it from a used car dealership with 5k miles on it. he didn't go crazy with the car, but he's a 19 yr old driver (he drove it hard but only when the engine warmed up). the only reason he's stilling it is to get an F150 lighting, moved to florida so he doesn't need all wheel drive anymore. but the car was well maintained, always had oil changes on time. i live in north jersey, so the market for STis are insane. i saw a kid buy an 03 WRX with 30k miles for 18 grand the other day. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | On the surface at least, it seems like a very good price, depending on what it will cost to repair the body damage. I paid 27k for my 05 STI at a dealer w 15k on the odometer. I'd say go for it and ask if he has the original air box and then re-install the stock air intake. STI's like to be tuned if you are running a CAI. At least in the northeast here, they are still somewhat scarce. It took me almost a month to find my 05, but I am very picky and wanted A STOCK car w low miles. Good luck. |
